Rotary Foundation

Craig will be talking about the Rotary International Foundation. Jeff Moses will be chairing our own AGM for the local Harbourside Foundation. This will be a good opportunity to compare the two foundations.

Craig Gillis believes that choosing to be a Rotarian is one his best life decisions sandwiched between marrying Gerry (#1) and becoming a teacher.    A Rotarian in the Campbell River Daybreak Rotary club since 2001 and President in 2010-11, he is proud to have also served as District Trainer, Youth Exchange Chair and District Governor.  In his ‘other life’ he worked as a teacher, counsellor, principal and Assistant Superintendent of School District 72, supervised over 60 student teachers for VIU, trained over 300 election workers in each of the past two federal elections and to date has launched the happily ever after of over 750 couples as a Marriage Commissioner.  He believes the funds donated through The Rotary Foundation are the single greatest reason as Rotarians we collectively transform lives and open opportunities in our local and global communities.  He is a Paul Harris Society member and a Major Donor.
