Michael Wark is a 31-year old blood cancer survivor hailing from Red Deer, Alberta. A journeyman carpenter by trade, a devoted husband, and a lover of the outdoors, Michael enjoys spending his time building and renovating houses, snowboarding and mountain biking in the Rockies, and finding ways to support his community wherever possible. He is a fierce advocate for the improvement of support services for Canadian young adults affected by cancer, and runs two support groups aimed at meeting this goal, Young Adult Cancer Central Alberta (YACCA), and the YACC: Web Chat program.
